How do self healing car works? Composed of a carbon fibre structure, the car has the ability to "self-heal" and can conduct its own health checks using sensors to detect any cracks and damages in its substructure. If a small crack is detected, a self-repairing process begins filling in the fissure with nanotubes – preventing the cracks from spreading any further into the car's structure. By incorporating this kind of energy storage system, the vehicle can be rapidly charged and is able to hold more power than a batter. But as the supercapacitors are made using carbon, they are malleable enough to be formed into the car's body panels. This makes the vehicle lighter in weight, while also enabling the whole car body to be used as an energy storage system.
How much do I charge to detail the car? Car Detailing Price vary depending upon a number of things. Vehicle size is a major determinant, as is the type of package you select. Basic packages for smaller vehicles are generally less expensive, and additional costs may be added for upgraded services. You may also seek discounts or coupons for such things as pre-payment of services, multi-car detailing, long-term contracts or long-time customer status. Many services can be included in car detailing and you may have several options and packages from which to choose. Variance in price will be largely based on the detail, professionalism and reputation of the business. You should expect to pay more for high quality service. • Basic car detailing service should include a wash, wax, interior vacuuming, interior polish, window wash, mirror and trim cleaning and tire cleaning. You can expect to pay $50 to $125 for an average sized vehicle and $75 to $150 for an SUV or van. An upgraded package usually consists of much more attention to detail. These details will vary by location so be sure to inquire about exactly what services you'll be getting for your money. Upgrades generally cost $150 and up for regular sized vehicles and $175 and up for larger trucks and vans. • Additional services may include things like the use of a higher quality cleaning product, special equipment or extraordinary care for vintage cars, boats, motorcycles or RVs. A superior wax is generally $50 and up. Steam cleaning of the interior or carpet shampoo could cost $75 or more and cleaning of leather upholstery averages around $50. You may also find services for dent removal, engine cleaning or wheel detailing at some car detailing shops.
Will my PPF look perfect? ?PPF installation is very difficult, time consuming, very intricate, and costly. The material isn't cheap and if there is dirt, hair or silvering (film that is stretched too much) means that piece has to be replaced. Bubbles, lift lines, and water under the film are common occurrences with every install. Lift lines are where a section has been laid then has to be lifted to remove an air bubble or speck of dirt. Air bubbles will evaporate over several days (or weeks, depending on weather) when the film is exposed to heat. If air bubbles are still on the film, the only way to remove it is to suck the air out with a needle. Expect these things to happen right after a PPF installation. Most reputable installers will strive for perfection. Unless PPF is installed in an enclosed room with "space-age" filtration system and not a speck of dust, there will be some degree of dust contamination. Pre-existing flaws such as scratches, rock chips, debris in the clear coat, misaligned body panels, sanding marks are much more noticeable and magnified after PPF is applied. What may look like a speck of dust between the paint and the PPF, is actually dirt nibs in the clear coat. I have seen Ferraris and Lamborghinis with hair, fingerprints and dirt, painted over it. However, the ideal PPF installation working area should be a clean, well lit environment with some sort of debris control and air filtration system. Most installers DO NOT have a clean room to where the film is installed. It's impossible to achieve perfect PPF installation, but installing PPF in your garage, a non-enclosed shop, and especially in a dealership, is the worst place to apply film. Working in a clean environment is the important part of installing PPF. In most cases, the condition of your vehicle also plays a huge part in a clean PPF installation. A swirl-free, scratch-free, rock-chip free, close to perfect finish is desirable. Even if your vehicle is brand new, it may have swirls, holograms, defects in the paint, minor scratches and other imperfections that needs to be removed. So the first step in PPF installation is Paint Correction or any type of defect removal.

Is a Professional Detailing Worth The Money? Detailing may seem like a luxury treatment for your car, leaving many to ask themselves “is it worth it to get my car detailed?” The answer is yes, and we’re not just saying it cause we run a high-end mobile detailing service. Detailing your vehicle is absolutely worth it, and not just because it saves you from washing your own car. Regular detailing will have valuable benefits for your vehicle, from classic cars to daily drivers. Detailing your vehicle is practical and cost-effective, but it also has emotional value. We all know that a car’s value will start to depreciate as soon as you take it home. Unless, of course, you wait long enough for your family car to become a classic. Even then, you’ll need to maintain the condition of the car so that once it does become a classic, it’s still in mint condition. For the time being, though, let’s look at some of the more immediate benefits of getting your car detailed. When you pay the neighbors kid to wash your car, you get what you pay for, a cheap car wash. There will still be some crumbs left between the seats, and dirt behind the control panel. There will be no protective coat of wax, and no odor removal – unless you count hanging a new air freshener tree on the rearview mirror. They won’t detail the tires or run a clay bar over the exterior to gently remove any dirt and debris. That’s what you get when you pay for a detail. Detailing will make your car cleaner than you’ve ever seen it before. Besides getting all the dirt out of every pore and crevice, we will also add a protective coat of wax, and condition the interior to give it a longer life. A regular car wash won’t have the right products to get the Cheeto dust out of the seats, coffee out of the headliner, or road tar off of the exterior. You also don’t want a kid to tackle hard to remove stains. Without professional experience in stain removal, both interior and exterior stains, you can end up doing more damage than good. A non-professional may try to get too tough with exterior dirt, chipping the pain in the process. Removing stains from interior surfaces also require a gentle touch with the right products and techniques. Detailing your vehicle so that you get rid of all the stains will maintain the resale value of your vehicle, which makes the extra cost worth every penny.
Does PPF Damage New Car Paint? This type of material is completely safe to apply to your new car. In fact, most paint protection film customers opt to use this type of protective coating on the clear coat of vehicle’s paint vs a ceramic coating, traditional carnauba wax, or paint sealants due to its safe application. For those who are not aware, PPF is a thin, and uses a unique adhesive substance that bonds solidly to the substrate. During the installation process, the clear paint protection film undergoes a multiple-stage installation, where it is fitted, cut, placed, and then activated by a liquid spray. The installer will use a squeegee to help apply the film to the painted surface. This is when the adhesive goes to work to attach to the substrate. There are some vinyl materials or inferior quality protective films with cheap adhesives that will become quite sticky if water penetrates the top coat. In fact, this is more common than you’d think with vinyl wraps. But when it comes to a quality PPF like Ceramic Pro Kavaca Instant Healing Film, you’re 100% safe. Yes – a protective film for cars can be easily removed. However, once it is removed, the same film can’t be reinstalled on another vehicle or the same. This is a great example why PPF is best suited for people who are either leasing a vehicle (that are going to return it and want to ensure they don’t have exterior paint damage), or those planning on keeping the vehicle for extended periods.
Is it Worth it to Buy Paint Protection Film for Your Car? If you want to keep your car looking as new as possible, then you can wash it regularly and even get a ceramic coating done, but if you want to take it a step further, then you can get it wrapped with paint protection film. Pros & Cons of Teflon Coating on Cars Teflon Coating, which is also popularly known as Paint Protection Coating, is basically a treatment that is recommended by many dealerships and car detailing shops to ensure the longevity of the paint. Basically, these coatings form a protective layer over the paint along with giving it more gloss and shine. Teflon is a chemical form of synthetic fluoropolymer that is non-sticky in nature and reduces friction on which it is applied. It also enhances the paint’s ability to prevent corrosion or wear and tear in extreme temperature conditions. The most apparent advantage that applying of Teflon coating has is that the paint of your car will have a highly attractive shine as soon the process of applying it is completed. Also, unless the coating of Teflon isn’t applied properly, even the minor scratches in the paint will disappear.Teflon coating also acts as a paint protection film by forming a layer over the car’s paint that prevents minor scratches. While most new-age cars come with a high gloss paint finish, applying of a coat of Teflon should further make the car look pristine for longer. Finally, applying a coat of Teflon will even increase the life of the paint, provided the application is repeated every few months. First things first, there is nothing ‘bad’ about applying a coat of Teflon to your car. However, there are some negatives associated with the entire process through which many get the coating applied to their vehicles. It must be understood that Teflon is a registered Patent of Company DuPont and now part of Chemours India (Subsidiary set up of Dupont). However, it has been observed that many workshops take customers for a ride by merely waxing and machine polishing the vehicle in the name of applying a Teflon coating. Also, the polishes that such erratic car detailing shops use are not related to Teflon and hence, don’t have exactly the same benefits. Therefore, many times, it is seen that vehicles owners feel cheated as the inferior treatment used do not provide the benefits associated with Teflon coatings. The shine given by non-Teflon products is comparatively short-lived. Unfortunately, the unsuspecting customer never realizes that he has been short-changed and ends up failing to realize the benefits of Teflon coating.
